In loving memory of Cathy Sivilli, friend, mentor, and teacher.

We will miss you Cathy!

On Friday September 7th, Cathy Sivilli, a much loved former Teacher, Case Manager and Assistant Principal for the Edge School, was tragically killed in a car accident.

What will be most treasured are the memories of Cathy’s interactions with students and their families, and with the staff at Edge, many of whom she mentored. She was so much a part of Edge--- with a bright smile and cup of coffee in hand as she greeted students each morning, our “graduation goddess”, and resident “Martha Stewart”.   Most of us have a favorite “Cathy story” and we plan to collect them to construct a bouquet of memories to give to her beloved husband Rick. She was warm and caring, and also incredibly competent and positive. Her sunny disposition inspired confidence that living is good and abundant with opportunity! She certainly modeled that philosophy for us in her full and adventurous life.  Cathy’s great sense of humor was never more appreciated than in difficult times. She could convince anyone that no obstacle was so great that it couldn’t be overcome by working together.  We need to remember her spirit as we work together to overcome the sorrow at her loss.

If you have a favorite memory of Cathy, please email it to Ginny Reiss (ginny@edgehighschool.org) or Rob Pecharich (robp@edgehighschool.org) so that we can include it in the bouquet of memories for Rick Sivilli.  A number of other ideas have been discussed as ways for the school to honor Cathy’s memory, and details will be posted on the web site as they are firmed up.  Students, families and other people who would like help in processing this sad news are encouraged to contact us at the school (520-881-1389).
