At Edge High School, summer isn’t just a time to have fun with friends. It’s also a time to get ahead! Whether you’re looking for credit recovery or to make some fast progress towards graduation, consider spending the summer with Edge! To make things easy, here’s a 5 step to-do list to ensure you have a great summer.
1. Enroll today
Did you know that you can enroll at Edge at any time? If you aren’t an Edge student today, you can enroll and start learning right away this summer. We’ll meet with you during your first week to take a look at your credits and create an individualized learning plan that will get you to your graduation goals. At Edge, the pace of your learning is up to you – so you can start now and graduate at any time during the year.
2. Join Edge Summer School
Our Summer School program meets for three weeks in June. Each campus offers math and English. It’s a popular program – over half of our school population attends Summer School each year! You’ll spend the summer learning alongside your friends and go into fall with credits earned.
3. Earn Credit – Your Way
There are so many ways to earn credit with Edge Summer School. Busy work schedule? Limited transportation? Home/life responsibilities? No matter what your circumstances are, Edge Summer School has options that will work for you. If you’ve fallen behind during the school year, the focus on one subject gives you time and space to really concentrate and understand classes that may have given you trouble in the past. You can even earn credit independently in PE, literature and composition and vocational programs! Additionally, our math and English classes move at a pace that supports learning for all of our students – you won’t get overloaded and you will learn.
4. Get Ready to Graduate
Are you a motivated student who is looking to make some big steps towards graduation this summer? The credits you earn with Edge Summer School will help you graduate on your timeline – and you don’t have to wait until spring!
5. Have Fun!
There are lots of options for you to learn new things and have fun doing it at Edge this summer. You can even earn credit and gain valuable job experience by volunteering in the community. Plus our small class sizes give you great opportunities to work closely with your classmates and teachers and develop rewarding friendships. Hope to see you here!
