Whether you’ve visited our campuses or just checked out our website, you’ve probably seen our motto: “Be You. With Us.” But what does that mean? At Edge tuition-free public High School, it means that YOU are our priority.
When students first come to Edge, they often tell us how relieved they are to be able to “be themselves” here. We welcome all students – regardless of your past choices, current challenges, or life circumstances. Our students share horror stories about their experiences in former schools – but you won’t repeat those experiences here.
You’ll be treated differently here than at other schools. Our teachers and counselors want to get to know you. We value your thoughts and opinions, and will check in daily to find out how you are doing – in school, in life, or if you just need a friendly smile. As a staff, we go by our first names with our students, letting you know that everyone is equal here.
We provide free on-site licensed social workers to help deal with things that may not have anything to do with school – and help you move on. Need more support? We have partnerships with Casa De Los Ninos, Pathways, and Community Bridges, Incorporated to connect interested students to free counseling.
Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation (SAAF) offers on-campus life skills electives support to promote health and well-being for teens.. SAAF’s Thornhill Lopez Center on 4th is a youth lounge that provides a safe space for LGBTQ+ teens to meet up and access SAAF services – and is located only a couple miles away from Edge.
