High school can be a super busy time in your life. From navigating personal relationships to juggling job and school responsibilities, life can pull you in a lot of different directions. At Edge tuition-free charter school, high school is more than just a long to-do list to get you to graduation. It’s a chance to slow down and explore your interests. And you may be surprised at what you discover about yourself in the process!

Try New Things

Most of the time we gravitate towards liking what we are good at. But to find out what you’re good at, you need to try a lot of different activities. Edge has many opportunities for you to learn new subjects, both on and off campus. We take field trips to local businesses, and volunteer to help our community in our annual Day of Service. We go on an overnight trip to the University of Arizona’s Sky School and learn about hiking, the environment, and the night sky.

Do you like getting outside? Volunteering? Playing sports? Making art? Gaming with friends? Our extracurriculars and clubs are here to inspire your interests, and new subjects are added every semester based on student demand.

Focus on What Works…for You

When you know what you’re passionate about, you shouldn’t let what others are doing impact your personal decisions. Instead of following the pack and doing what your friends do, enroll in the groups, activities, and classes that interest you. At Edge, we’ll work with you 1:1 to support your interests and goals, and incorporate them into your schedule.

Next Steps Start Here

Edge graduates leave here with a plan for life after high school. That often means career or post-secondary plans that reflect your interests – ones you identified during your time at Edge. We’ll help set you up with volunteer opportunities and internships in fields that interest you. You’ll explore career paths with area businesses and visit Tucson-area colleges. We can even help you reach out and contact a community mentor to give you advice and insight into their career. It’s never too early to start thinking about your future!

It’s OK to not know what you want to be when you grow up – but Edge can help you discover your interests. Learn more about how Edge can help you take the first steps towards your future and enroll today.
