You know who you are. You have likes and dislikes. You have preferences, you have ideas and you have a voice. You matter.

You deserve respect. You deserve joy. You deserve a reward for hard work and perseverance. You are able to choose how you celebrate.

You also deserve to like your school; to feel supported and validated as you learn and earn that much-anticipated and extremely important high school diploma. The life you seek is one where you stand on your own two feet, provide for yourself, and continue to take care of YOU.

You deserve to be heard when you’re at school. You deserve to be safe when you’re at school. You deserve to enjoy learning and being in your high school experience. It may sound ridiculous — but high school doesn’t have to suck. Don’t just take our word for it. At Edge high school:

96% of students would recommend Edge to a friend!

Boom. Our Edge high school students like this school enough to recommend us! Is there any greater validation than a high school student who likes their school?! We’re thinking about it.

Nope!

And while you are such an independent and thoughtful person, striving for your future, and working hard day after day; you’re also still loved and cared for by the adults around you. You deserve supportive adults in your life. We are proud to be among them.

Edge students and community members have gone on to do great things. College. Career. Run for office. They hold positions of service, of respectful authority and are pursuing their dreams even further. One alum is chasing her dream of being a forensic pathologist. Another Edge alum joined the ranks of realtors serving our Tucson community. Yet another Edge alum graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Education and is working as a middle school English teacher right here in Tucson. And still another Edge alum is traveling the country as a journeyman electrician.

Edge alumni have thriving careers in medical and healthcare industries, culinary arts, digital arts, engineering, marketing, and animation. Our alums are entrepreneurs and small business owners. Edge has numerous alumni who serve(d) in the military and paid for their college education through the G.I. Bill.

Edge students actively engage in volunteering at local non-profit agencies to assist in solving community issues. Many of our alumni continue to volunteer at non-profit agencies long after graduating from Edge. Some of these special humans found employment and leadership roles at these very non-profit agencies where they once volunteered.

A former Edge teacher, Rosanne Webster,  reminisces about her tenure from 2004-2010. She loved her time at Edge helping so many, just like you and your friends.

“…the twenty-somethings who finally realized that it was they themselves who could provide for a good life… EDGE gave them confidence, esteem, self-worth and a way to find their own career path and to not feel the need to depend on someone else to provide. They became strong right in front of our eyes!”

Back in October we published a blog full of support and ideas for distance learning success. These tips were submitted by current Edge faculty– who are there with you day after day – in the trenches. Here’s a few highlights:

There will be up and down days. DL is a great opportunity, embrace it to improve your future!”

Be brave enough to turn your camera on, be bold enough to ask questions.”

“Struggling is part of the learning process. Obstacles are opportunities.”

These three points are valid. And come from a place of deep experience helping students just like you, as well as endless support and love for you and every Edge student. Who better to share this transformative high school experience with than your friends?

We are the exact right place for you to be. Edge is your final stop to high school graduation.  But, we are not the end of your education. You will continue to learn and grow — to make choices and seek experiences. As lame and challenging as this pandemic is — you are surviving it and continuing to show up for yourself every day.

Don’t your friends deserve this, too?

If you know anybody not psyched about their high school experience…send them our way. After all, 96% of your peers can’t be wrong!

Tell them to drop a line to your Principal:

Rob Pecharich, District Principal: [email protected]

or Dave Thatcher, Principal: [email protected].

We’re enrolling now — and year round. Tell your friends we’re saving them a seat.
