Edge Students and Support Persons –
All Arizona Public Schools, including district and charter schools, are required to properly administer state and federally mandated assessments this Spring. Under federal law, schools are required to test 95% of their eligible students.
For more information, please visit the ADE Assessment Website
We understand that sending students to school for in-person standardized testing is a very challenging position for families during the Covid-19 pandemic. We ask for your cooperation in helping us follow state and federal requirements. The extended test windows recently permitted by the State Board of Education will allow schools to bring in smaller groups of students to test over a longer period of time. Edge High School will use an online format and students must test on-site at their Edge High School campus.
Edge High School will have a physically spaced, safe testing environment. All students and staff members are required to have daily temperature checks, wear a mask and disinfect areas before and after use. Edge High School students will take computer-based State Standardized Assessments in the month of April. All 10th grade and 11th grade students are scheduled to take one or more of the following assessments:
ACT April 6, 7, 8 11th grade only
AzM2 April 8 – April 16 10th grade only
Az Science Field Test April 19 – April 22 11th grade only
Edge High School staff members will reach out to Parents/Guardians to schedule an exact date and time for each of the State Standardized Assessments listed above.
