Our tuition-free charter school partners with the local mentoring program “Boys to Men Tucson” to engage our students in weekly meetings that can really improve their lives. Boys to Men hosts weekly hour-long group mentorship talking circles at Edge. The group is free for all participants and open to everyone who identifies as masculine. Just tell your Edge teacher or staff that you’re interested, and they’ll get you signed up!
What Will You Do?
Boys to Men Tucson connects teenage masculine-identifying youth with positive adult male role models. Lots of participants experience fatherlessness or live without positive adult male role models, so these connections can really make a difference in every area of their lives. When you join Boys to Men at Edge you’ll meet with your mentorship circle every week to share stories, work through challenges, and connect in a judgment-free environment. Boys to Men mentors can relate to what you’re going through, and share their own teenage stories. They don’t teach or lecture – they’re here to support you and listen.
All participants in Boys to Men talking circles at Edge also get to go on out-of-school adventure outings and adventure weekends. You’ll spend time exploring the outdoors, and connecting with your group about the person you are becoming, developing goal-setting, accountability, and relationship skills.
