At Edge, we believe that the fundamentals for success are present in every one of our students. And our school success depends on each of us working together to achieve our shared mission and vision. So how do we do this? It starts with Core Values.
Edge’s Core Values light the way for our school. They are behaviors that can help our students overcome difficult situations and achieve positive results. They build the foundation for learning in our school, and lay the groundwork for success that our students can bring to their lives outside of school.
But our Core Values are more than just words on a page. Every day our students are living the values of our mission and vision, and every quarter we celebrate them through our Citizenship Honor Roll. Following are some highlights of our Core Values and the students who are nominated for awards:
Trust
We believe that learning is built on trusting relationships. Edge works hard to foster an environment where students are seen and valued, where they can develop safe and trusting relationships with teachers and staff, and where they can find support from their peers.
Respect
We believe in respecting all individuals. Nominees include:
Ryan D.: “respectful at all times and responsible by doing what is asked of him.”
Seraphim D.: “dramatically improved interpersonal skills during second quarter, leading to increased joy in the classroom.”
Dominic W.: “engaged in Design Day – worked positively and excitedly with others.”

Responsibility
We believe in developing responsible students and community members. Nominees include:

Joy
We believe in building joy in the lives of our students. Nominees include:

Choice
We believe each of us has a choice to take charge of our education. Nominees include:

Service
We believe that service is a cornerstone to a caring community. Nominees include:
Sunny A. and Gabe A.: “on walk breaks they always team up with a bag and a grabber to clean up trash from around the school and park. These two make our area cleaner and happier every day.”
