Wendi Miller Portrait

I grew up in a tiny suburb of Chicago called Medinah. I am the 6th of 7 children and always knew I wanted to be a teacher. Even when I was young, I enjoyed helping others to learn and grow. I started pursuing my bachelor’s degree fresh out of high school, and 25 years later, I finally reached my goal! I completed my undergraduate and graduate studies at Western Governors University and have been teaching for 10 years. I am happy to say that this will be my 8th year teaching at Edge.

I love working at Edge because of how the administration, faculty and students are all supportive of one another, not just with school, but in life outside of school as well. I also love the fact that I have the opportunity to work one-on-one with my students and help them to learn and reach new understanding, both in school and in life. We know our students by name and we care about them and each other as people, not just as students and coworkers.

I am a busy mom of six (5 boys and 1 girl) and grandma to two grandsons. I live on the northwest side of Tucson with four of my children  and three dogs. When I’m not at Edge, I also work with junior high students in our community, and I play trumpet in a few different community orchestras.
